We were notified today by a Microsoft spokesperson regarding the opening of the Microsoft Store at South Coast Plaza that we broke a few months back.
“I wanted to let you know that we announced today that the Microsoft Store will be coming soon to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. This will be Orange County’s second Microsoft Store and one of only 8 stores in the world.”It’s Official, the Microsoft Store will be Coming Soon to South Costa Plaza. They even wrapped the outside announcing it to the World!
The Microsoft spokesperson didn’t give any dates just yet, I’m guessing sometime in March. We’ll update you once we get word on an actual date.
UPDATE: Microsoft Store South Coast Plaza Grand Opening… March 24
Looking forward to the Grand Opening!
About the Microsoft Store:
Microsoft opened its first-ever retail store on October 22, 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona to give shoppers a chance to experience the best of Microsoft and its partners, engage more directly with customers and improve the experience of purchasing and using technology. Additional stores were opened in Mission Viejo, CA (October 29, 2009); Lone Tree, CO (June 10, 2010); San Diego, CA (June 24, 2010); Oak Brook, IL (November 4, 2010); Bloomington, MN (November 6, 2010) and Bellevue, WA (November 18, 2010).
Microsoft Stores offer hundreds of products including PCs running Windows 7, computing accessories, Xbox consoles and accessories, Windows Phones, Zunes and first-and third-party software titles. Customers can also learn new technology skills in the store’s theater space, and work with employees for personalized PC setup and training. For more information, visit www.MicrosoftStore.com or follow the Microsoft Store Facebook page.

I've been there before, funny thing is that the MS store is right by the Apple store (I think). The MS store is always packed like a circus and every time I walk by I see the workers there playing WII style games.
