Amazon knows what Gamers Want. Release Day Delivery on Pre-orders

When a hot new release comes out, you want it day one, right? Halo: Reach is due out September 14th. That’s when Amazon will have it to you, day one, on September 14th. That’s right, Amazon quietly rolled out $0.99 release day delivery for video game pre-orders. Something only Amazon Prime members have had and will continue to receive the service for free.

This makes Amazon one of the better places to pre-order your games now because most don’t get Taxed, the shipping is now only $0.99 with release day delivery on pre-orders, and the HUGE growing list of $10 to $20 Bonus Offers and Halo: Reach is one of them with a Bonus Offer of $20 credit on a future video game purchase.

So what are you waiting for? Pre-order Halo Reach today and have Amazon have it to you on release day.

  3. Will this automatically update or do I have to cancel my pre-order and order again to get this $0.99 shipping? Mine still says $5.98 for release date shipping...

  4. Ok, in order to get the lower s&h price go to amazon.com, log in and view your open orders.

    Click change shipping speed.

Change your shipping method to something other than release date (I chose super free). Click confirm.

Now change your shipping speed back to release date and you'll have $0.99 shipping.

  5. Unfortunately, this means that you get it Tuesday afternoon.

  6. No, you'll get it whenever UPS regularly makes deliveries in your area. If that's afternoon, that's not Amazon's fault. Worth it though. No tax, plus like the article said Amazon is offering more and more $10-20 rebates. Hands down, Amazon is the best place to go now that they're offering 99 cent release-date deliveries.
